Melissa has been actively working in the event industry in Tampa Bay for over 35 years. Her career began as the manager of a successful corporate entertainment agency. She then began her journey into
the event management realm by working in the festival and retail event arena. From there Melissa joined a state environmental agency and lead efforts in marketing, event management, as well as television, radio and print production all promoting the conservation of natural resources. Each new experience brought Melissa towards her eventual launch of her own company.

In 2013, she took the plunge and opened Melrose Enterprises with the goal of providing event resources and
marketing services to the corporate sector. In 2018, she decided to narrow the focus of the company by
becoming a Destination Management Company. Today, Melrose DMC brings this wealth of experience
to provide unique and personalized experience for each of its clients.

Christa is a 4th generation Tampeño (resident of Tampa), a graduate of the University of North Florida, and a proud military wife. Her introduction into the talent and event industry started at
the age of 17 when she became an intern for the talent agency that Melissa managed. Her travels have taken Christa all over the world with her Navy Chief husband. Her experiences include working as a High School Teacher, Camp Music Director, Workshop Director, Teen
Workshop Director, USO Events Volunteer, and Member of  the Military Wives Association. Each of these roles allowed her to hone her skills in communication, logistics, problem solving, event management, and crisis management.

Reconnecting with Melissa in 2018 and joining Melrose DMC, has truly been a homecoming! Christa continues to expand her role at the company by taking on not only event logistics management but also heading up its social media outreach and website management.
